Tap your avatar → Profile → Edit profile. From there you can change your display name, bio, avatar, and banner. YourSpace+ members can also unlock animated banners, icon frames, and accent themes.

How do Sparks flow between users?

Two flows:
• Tips: the recipient keeps 100% of the Sparks you send — YourSpace takes no cut on tips.
• Awards: the recipient receives 60 Sparks per 100 spent (90 per 100 for YourSpace+ members); the remainder is burned to keep the Sparks economy healthy.
Sparks are an in-app cosmetic currency only — they can't be cashed out, traded, or converted to money. YourSpace is not a cryptocurrency or financial product.

When do I get my Sparks grant?

Monthly plan: 1,500 Sparks are auto-granted the moment your subscription becomes active, and again on every monthly renewal. Yearly plan: all 15,000 Sparks are granted instantly at purchase. If you don't see them within a few minutes, pull to refresh.

What happens if I cancel?

You keep every Plus perk until the end of your current billing period — your subscription just stops renewing. You can resume any time before then with one tap.

Is the purple badge transferable?

No. The badge follows your active subscription. If you cancel and your billing period ends, the badge is removed (unless you also hold a Silver Notable badge, which stays).

Why are some awards more expensive?

Each award has a rarity tier — common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary. Higher tiers cost more and grant a larger payout to the recipient. Legendary awards are intentionally rare.

Yes — the award lands as a notification with the giver's handle, unless they specifically opted into anonymity in a future release.

What's a Space?

A Space (s/yourspace, s/gaming, etc.) is a topical community with its own feed, mods, and rules. Anyone can create one.

Who can moderate a Space?

The creator is the owner. Owners can promote moderators. Both can mute or recommend bans; only owners can ban, unban, and promote/demote mods. Owners and mods can edit the Space's logo and banner.

Yes. Tap Appearance from the mod tools to change the logo and banner. YourSpace+ owners can additionally apply cosmetic banner frames and icon surrounds.

Are my one-to-one messages private?

Yes — one-to-one (1:1) direct messages are end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) with ECDH P-256 + AES-GCM 256. Encryption and decryption happen on your device — even YourSpace can't read them. Only conversations you explicitly report are snapshotted (encrypted at rest) for moderation review.

How do I get my encrypted chats on a new device?

Open Settings → Security → Link another device on a device that's already set up. Tap "Show pairing code" to display a one-time 6-digit code. On the new device, choose "Enter a code from another device" and type it in. Your keys transfer over an end-to-end encrypted handshake — no camera, no scanning, no passcode required. The code expires in 5 minutes and works once.

A backup passcode is optional. If you set one in Security, any new device can unlock with the passcode instead of needing another device nearby.

What about group DMs and Space chats?

Group direct messages are end-to-end encrypted too. Every member holds the current group key; messages are encrypted on the sender's device and decrypted on each member's device — YourSpace's servers only see ciphertext. When someone joins or leaves, the group rotates to a new epoch so past messages stay readable only to members who were there at the time. Space chats are public rooms by design, so they're encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256) but not end-to-end — anyone in the Space can read them, and the server may access content for moderation.

Why can't I message someone?

Either they have DMs restricted in their privacy settings, you don't follow them (and they require it), or one of you has blocked the other. Open their profile to see the available options.

How do I share a post into a chat?

Tap the share icon → "Send to a chat". Pick people from your recent conversations or search by @handle. The recipient sees the full post embedded in their inbox, not just a link.

How do I report something?

Every post and profile has a Report option in its menu. Reports go to a human moderator. Repeated abuse can lead to mutes, suspensions, or bans depending on severity.

What if I'm blocked or muted?

Mutes hide someone's posts from your feed but they can still see yours. Blocks fully sever contact — they can't message, mention, or see your profile while the block is active.

Automated accounts must be clearly labelled and follow rate limits. Coordinated inauthentic behaviour is grounds for account termination.

Who can see my profile?

Public by default. Toggle Private in settings to require follow approval — your posts, follower list, and media tab become hidden to non-followers.

Account profile (handle, name, optional bio, optional avatar/banner), posts and engagement, encrypted 1:1 chat ciphertext (which we can't read without your device), group/Space chat content encrypted at rest, and basic device/session info needed to keep you signed in. Can I delete my account?

Yes, from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, posts, and content within 30 days; some payment records are retained as legally required.
