Child Safety Standards

The following are strictly forbidden on YourSpace, without exception:

• Any content that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or abuses a minor (any person under 18).
• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) in any form — real, animated, drawn, AI-generated, deepfake, or otherwise synthetic.
• Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, or any predatory behavior toward minors.
• Sharing, requesting, or distributing sexualized content depicting minors, including "modeling" or age-ambiguous content designed to evade detection.
• Non-consensual intimate imagery of anyone, and any intimate imagery of a minor whether consented or not.
• Livestreaming, coordinating, or promoting the sexual abuse of a child.
• Trafficking of minors, or content that facilitates it.
• Off-platform contact solicitation directed at minors for sexual purposes.

Violations result in immediate account termination, permanent device/IP ban, preservation of evidence, and mandatory reporting to NCMEC and appropriate authorities.

• Age gate. YourSpace is strictly 18+. Anyone under 18 is prohibited from creating or using an account and is removed on discovery. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Because the Service is adults-only, minors should not be present on the platform at all — any suspected minor account is terminated immediately.
• Automated media scanning. Uploaded media and text are screened by automated safety filters that block obvious CSAE terms and quarantine suspicious content for human review before it can appear publicly.
• Content classifier. A server-side classifier reviews new posts and can auto-hide or hold content for moderator action.
• Human moderation. Trained human moderators review reports and quarantined content.
• Direct message safeguards. DMs from strangers require an explicit accept, and end-to-end encryption never disables our ability to receive, review, and act on user reports of illegal content.
• Search & discovery filters. Known CSAE-related search terms are blocked at the query level.
• Hash matching. We support industry-standard hash-based detection (PhotoDNA-style workflows) for known CSAM.

Every post, comment, message, sticker, and profile on YourSpace has a Report option that includes a dedicated Child safety / CSAM category. Reports:

• Are prioritized and reviewed by our safety team.
• Immediately hide the reported content from public surfaces pending review when a CSAE category is selected.
• Trigger evidence preservation and, where required, reports to NCMEC's CyberTipline and other applicable authorities.

Anyone — user or non-user — can also email support@joinyourspace.org to report child-safety concerns.

• Confirmed CSAM is removed immediately, the offending account is permanently terminated, and the incident is reported to NCMEC's CyberTipline (US) and equivalent national authorities where applicable.
• We preserve records in accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and cooperate with valid legal process.
• We do not tip off suspected offenders that a report has been made.
• We honor emergency-disclosure requests from law enforcement where there is a reasonable belief of imminent danger to a minor.

YourSpace complies with, at minimum:

• United States: 18 U.S.C. §§ 2251, 2252, 2252A, 2258A, and the PROTECT Act.
• European Union: the Digital Services Act (DSA) and applicable child-safety regulations.
• United Kingdom: the Online Safety Act 2023.
• Australia: the Online Safety Act 2021 and eSafety Commissioner requirements.
• Canada: mandatory reporting under An Act respecting the mandatory reporting of Internet child pornography.
• All other applicable regional and national child-safety laws in jurisdictions where YourSpace is available.

The designated point of contact for all child-safety matters, including law-enforcement inquiries and Google Play policy questions:

• NCMEC CyberTipline (US, worldwide reports)
• Internet Watch Foundation (UK / international)
• INHOPE (global hotline network)
• US law-enforcement emergencies: dial 911. Other jurisdictions: contact your local emergency line.

We review this policy at least annually and after any material change to our safety practices. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective" date at the top of this page.
